报告人简介：
谢心澄，1982毕业于中国科技大学近代物理系,1988获美国马里兰大学博士。1991至今在美国Oklahoma State University任教，现为校董事会讲座教授。2000年受聘为中科院国际量子结构中心海外成员，2005-2006年任中心主任。2005年担任中国科学院物理研究所凝聚态理论与材料计算研究室主任。现任全球华人物理协会（OCPA）凝聚态物理召集人（Coordinator）及美国物理协会（APS）Fellow。2008年入选中组部“千人计划”。

报告摘要：
In this talk I will discuss some important and unsolved issues in the two-dimensional electron systems, particularly the non-Abelian fractional quantized Hall state and the quantum spin Hall appeared in the two-dimensional topological insulators.
