[理论室学术报告] Energy landscape of the driven Rabi model

The Rabi model, first introduced nearly 80 years ago, is a canonical model in quantum optics. Because it describes the simplest interaction between light and matter it is applicable to many experiments, from ion traps to both cavity and circuit quantum electrodynamics. Despite its simplicity, the eigenspectrum of the fully quantized version of the Rabi model has only been obtained analytically in the past few years. In this talk I will discuss some further developments for the driven Rabi model, also known as the generalized or biased Rabi model. In particular, I will describe the energy landscape for this model as a function of the system parameters. In this landscape the well known isolated degenerate Judd points of the Rabi model are seen to induce conical intersection points for the driven Rabi model. These are important for future work on the dynamics of this model.
